[Solved] Guru Meditation on VirtualBox 5.2.6

Post by tomino2018 »

Hello forum

I have the problem, that I get a guru meditation error after I updated VirtualBox. I tried to uninstall and run the former version, but without help.
I tried it on another PC - without help.
I set everything up on a windows 7 32bit Client.
I even tried it on a 64bit Windows 10, as i thought it might be a memory limitation, but even that didn't help.

I added the latest log on the 64bit windows 10 client.

I hope someone could give me a hint whats wrong.

I havent installed anything, as the VM ist just for email archivation.

Thnx for helping

Your log file shows...

Your Intel Xeon X5482 3.20GHz supports VT-x so start by checking it is enabled in the BIOS and that on your Windows 10 host make sure Hyper-V isn't grabbing hold of it and not letting go.

Hi Andy

thnx for the quick help.
I activated VT-x in Bios of the PC. At least I hope so.

But I still get the same error, do I have to change something in virtualbox ode Windows?

Thank you

Hi Andy

sorry it was my fault. I activated the VT in Bios, but didn't save it.

I saved it and now I can run the VM again.

Thnx.
