Re-installation of Additions Fails

I am trying to update my additions and I receive an error.

How do I proceed?

Interestingly enough, I tried to run regedit and I received the same error.

If you receive a "File system error" for a built-in application, then you should check your guest and your host's filesystem.

For future reference, next time please downsize your attached images by 50% (at least), or simply change the DPI to 72 from 144. Not everyone is blessed with a HiDPI display

That's your virtual HD looking at you
That's 102725844992 bytes, aka 95.7 GiB of data (or 102.7 GB in SI). Why are you puzzled?

We can't possibly know what's going on in your host, you're sitting in front of it, not us...

BTW, I just realized that you posted in the "Windows Hosts" section, you should have posted in the "Windows Guests" section. Moving it...

And please tell us the complete VirtualBox, Host, and Guest versions. Including builds and revisions.

The host system is MacOS High Sierra, Version 10.13.3.

VirtualBox shows: Version 5.2.6 r120293 (Qt5.6.3)

Interesting how they don't put the important "this could kill your registry, make sure you back it up" warning until after they have said double-click on the file to add it to the registry!
