Win7 guest gets corrupted after host standby/hibernation

Postby Benne » 8. Nov 2017, 09:57

I have a Virtualbox VM running on differnt windows host systems (7,10).

The Virtualbox software I use is 5.1.14 and 5.1.30. The virtual disks are encrypted
with Virtualbox extentions package.

When the host system goes to standby, e.g. not AC plugged in or display closed, sometimes the guest OS gets corrupted with the typical
know Win 7 error 0xc000000001 \Boot\BCD.

I tried to to repair, but the virtual disk seems to be to corrupted and I have to reinstall.

Any idea why this is happening. I read the documentation which tells that the host standby and resume events
are captured and handled by Virtualbox automatically.

Thanks in advance.
