Boot "raw" Windows 10 with bitlocker encryption without entering key

Post by Toralf »

Hi,

I've set up VirtualBox under Linux to run Windows 10 (pre)installed on a real partition - using "VBoxManage internalcommands createrawvmdk" etc. My configuration works mostly fine, but there is a slight problem: The partition is encrypted using BitLocker, and the TPM can't be accessed for key information during boot. This means that I have to type in a recovery key every time to actually boot the system. Does anybody know if there is a way around this, other than disabling BitLocker? Can I access the TPM chip in some sort of passthrough mode, or create a virtual version, or provide key data for automatic load by Windows in some other manner?

Thanks,

No. You can't.
