[Solved] Invisible mouse pointer with TeamViewer (#17430)
[Solved] Invisible mouse pointer with TeamViewer (#17430)
[ModEdit; related ticket: #17430: Invisible mouse pointer with remote control. (Linux host)]
Hi folks,
I am running a Windows7 Guest on a Debian stretch host.
When somebody tries to support this Windows guest with TeamViewer I cannot see the mouse of my supporter. All I can see is my "own" mouse pointer. This pointer is not moving at all (only when I move my mouse it moves).
I am using the latest VirtualBox (V5.1.28) and have Guest additions installed.
My guess is that the mouse is not really Windows' mouse but it's still the Linux mouse, so TeamViewer cannot see it???
On an Apple host everything works like expected.
Any idea what the problem is?

Re: Invisible mouse pointer with TeamViewer
No idea o this subject?
I still have the problem with the invisible pointer on Windows 7 and 10. Tried to de/activate 2d and 3d acceleration with no avail.
The host uses an i3-6100 CPU and the intel graphics.
I just made a test on a Thinkpad with a current Linux mint and also (older) intel graphics. It's the same effect.
Some special effects:
The supporters mouse pointer is shown the moment he begins dragging a window (i have two mouse pointers then). As soon as he releases the left mouse button the "remote" pointer disappears again.
When the supporter hovers over a symbol with his mouse my local mouse pointer becoms a hand, but it's still at the position where I left it.

Re: [Solved] Invisible mouse pointer with TeamViewer
As pointed out over IRC, disabling mouse integration on the guest, fixed the issue...
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Thanks sokratis.
For those who don't know how to disable mouse integration (like me):
There's no entry in the settings for this (as far as I know...)
One has to switch it on or off on demand.
You can do this here:
Under
you can configure a hotkey for that ( e.g. Host+I )
