XP Pro svPack 3 guest on a windows 7 host
on starting the vm it appears slow to get past applying network connections, then seems to hang at applying computer settings.
I did the recent update for VirtualBox - Version 5.1.28 r117968 (Qt5.6.2)
The log file is taken at the point it hangs. I have another log file after I power the machine off if thats more use?
I loaded an older snapshot and that appears to hang at the same point
Can any one help?

Re: XP hangs at applying computer settings
Sounds like a problem with the network: probably not responding, or invalid credentials. I've had exactly the same issue sometimes with physical XP systems. In the latter case unplugging the network cable allowed the XP PC to boot up. Diagnosing the network problem would be a separate matter.
Re: XP hangs at applying computer settings
I have reinstalled a previous version of VirtualBox, Version 5.1.26 r117224 (Qt5.6.2)
This version works
