Windows Host, Windows Server USB Raid 10

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a Windows 7 Host and I want to install VBOX on a USB Raid 10 Mass Storage device. I also want to set up a Virtual Windows Server 2012 R2. I want to utilize the resources of that Raid 10 but VBox will not let me select that USB Raid 10 as the Hard Drive. so I can only utilize it on the C:\ Drive. After I installed it there, I still cannot access the USB Raid 10 for Data Storage in the VBOX world. Any ideas??

Is the Raid 10 array directly connected to the Windows 7 host or is it a network share? I can't think why it would not work if the device is directly connected.
I don't have a Raid device to test.

VirtualBox uses virtual disks, so your WinServer guest's virtual hard drive could reside in that RAID device.

If you want to access resources on that RAID device, you could either use shared folders or SMB share folders from your host, i.e. setup a network share from your host and access that from your guest like you would do with two physical systems.
