[Solved] Lenovo ThinkStation P500 vt-x can not install windows datacentre 2008 64-bit

when i try to install as guest windows 2008 data centre vBox 5.1.26 says it can not find vt-x

BIOS is legacy; 16GB RAM; 2 x 1 TB hard drives, windows 10

regardless whether vt-d is enabled in the BIOS, Task Manager (windows 10) shows virtualization is enabled.

However, Windows data centre 2008 32-bit installs as guest no problem whatsoever.

thank you mpack ... sorry to take so long to get back ... Hyper-v was the culprit ... disabling it made room for vBox.

It is not a matter of making room. Hyper-V locks on to vt-x at boot time, so it is not available to any other program.
