Can't get folder share, drag-drop or clipboard to work - Win10 server running a Win7 VM

Post by HoloPed »

Hey all,
I have a Windows 10 server that is running VirtualBox 5.10 and a Win7 virtual machine.

I installed guest additions on the Win7 VM. I enabled bidirectional copy-paste and file drag-and-drop, and I've added a shared folder, but none of this works.
The shared folder is nowhere to be found inside the vm, copy-paste does nothing and file dragging is refused.

Any ideas?

Please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip, and attach the zip here.

It would be useful if you also include the VMs ".vbox" file in the zip.

If host and guest are both Windows, why not use Windows file sharing?
