So, I created a virtual machine with Windows XP 32bit, because I need to install an old software that won't work properly in my Windows 10.
Everything works, network included, but when I try to install it, the Install Aware tries to download MSXML 4.0, but it can't. It looks like the installer can't detect the virtual machine is connected to the internet, or something is blocking it. I deactivated the firewall, I tried on Windows 7 32 bit, and the same problem happened. Any ideas why is this happening?

Re: Can't install some programs in a virtual machine
MSXML 4 is no longer available (since 2014).
MSXML 6 comes as part of Win XP SP3.
Update your XP VM to SP3, if it is not already SP3.
If the Installer is looking for MSXML 4 explicitly, instead of 4 or greater,
you are probably out of luck.

This topic does not belong in "Using VirtualBox" which is supposed to be for syntax questions and the like. In fact I'm not convinced this is a VirtualBox question at all.
