I am preparing to migrate a windows 2003 SBS server to a VirtualBox VM. I have created the VHD using the MS utility. When I try to import the vhd all seems fine until I try to run the VM. Then I get the black screen with the following:
A disk read error occurred
Press Cntrl+Alt+Del to restart
I have no idea how to fix this error.
Thanks.
Cannot read disk

Re: Cannot read disk
What utility would that be?ov10fac wrote: I have created the VHD using the MS utility.
When you do a P2V (Physical to Virtual), the hardware "recipe" for the VM has got to be as close as possible to the original. If you have anything more than an IDE controller on the physical, you might face problems in the virtual. SCSI or SATA controllers might be the problem if the physical system didn't have installed drivers.ov10fac wrote:I get the black screen with the following
