HDD size windows xp

Hi,

I started a new "box" with Windows XP. I put the HDD drive to around 9gb - but now I realize it's too much and it's taking up my computer space (or is it? that's one question as well.. does it take the space even though like only 2gb is used in windows xp? or is the 9gb reserved?) anyway is there anyway I can make the HDD size lower from 9gb to like 3gb-4gb?

I think you will find that by default it is a variable size, meaning it will go upto a maximum of 9Gb (If that is what you set it as)

I did the same setup with mine yesterday, using the defaults. I have only used 4.5Gb of the 10Gb I have let it have access to. (Again by default)

So the 9GB is not used, only like 1GB out of 9GB.
