Reporting similar problem,Debian 8.2 host, Windows 7 SP1 Guest, vbox 5.012.r104815 . Succsesfully made one snapshot (audio not disabled) that can be restored , watched one webex recording and every snapshot I try to make afterwards crashes when restoring with "Failed to load hda unit ((VERR_SSM_LOADED_TOO_LITTLE))....
I had no idea webex can do that
Making snapshots and restoring was done on the same machine (using above mentioned vbox version).

Re: Failed to load unit 'hda' when restoring Windows10 sessi
We just put another test build up for trying out:
Please have a try if this resolves the remaining issues for you: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Testbuilds

Re: Failed to load unit 'hda' when restoring Windows10 sessi
Thanks pentagonik ... the new 105046 seems to have fixed my HDA problem. I can now successfully restore a snapshot from 5.0.10 or this newer 5.0.13.r105046. fwiw ... it's using a guest of 105040.
fyi ... I can NOT restore a snapshot made with an earlier 5.0.13.r104913 but since it was from a test build I do not need it and am not expecting that to work. I mention it only for completeness.

Re: Failed to load unit 'hda' when restoring Windows10 sessi
105046, with matching extension pack, seems to be able to restore the execution state with audio enabled. I will be upgrading the guest additions now.
Thanks pentagonik!

Re: [FIXED] Failed to load unit 'hda' when restoring session
I ran across this error today on a Win10x64Pro Host with a VM running Win10x64Pro Guest in which I tried to restore an earlier snapshot taken 7 months before a recent upgrade to VirtualBox ver 5.2.6 r120293 (Qt5.6.2) and Guest Additions ver 5.2.6:
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine VGW-106-A8-1.
Unsupported version 6 of data unit 'hda' (instance #0, pass 0xffffffff) (VERR_SSM_UNSUPPORTED_DATA_UNIT_VERSION).
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: ConsoleWrap
Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}
Realizing it likely had associated an older version of Guest Additions and hda may refer to Intel HD Audio, as mentioned above, unmounting the iso from the cd drive storage and remounting to point to the new 5.2.6 version of the ISO of the Guest Additions allowed the snapshot to be relaunched no problem.
