  1. I asked for a complete session of the guest. That means, you boot, you observe the problem (insert USB) and you shutdown the guest. Then you take the log.
  2. Martin asked you about your account being a part of the "vboxusers" group. If you don't know what that means, here is some info: http://askubuntu.com/questions/377778/h ... -vboxusers
  3. "VBoxManage list usbhost" comes up empty!!! You don't even have a USB mouse or keyboard? And where is the HASP? Repeat the command with the HASP key inserted.
  4. You have an empty USB filter named "New Filter 1". This catches everything. Delete it. You want to (eventually) be more specific.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Sorry for the delayed answer!!
Martin asked you about your account being a part of the "vboxusers" group. If you don't know what that means, here is some info: http://askubuntu.com/questions/377778/h ... -vboxusers

Code: Select all

giannis@desktop ~ $ sudo usermod -a -G vboxusers giannis
[sudo] password for giannis:
giannis@desktop ~ $ groups giannis
giannis : giannis adm cdrom sudo dip plugdev lpadmin sambashare vboxusers
"VBoxManage list usbhost" comes up empty!!! You don't even have a USB mouse or keyboard? And where is the HASP? Repeat the command with the HASP key inserted.

Code: Select all

giannis@desktop ~ $ sudo VBoxManage list usbhost
[sudo] password for giannis:

You have an empty USB filter named "New Filter 1". This catches everything. Delete it. You want to (eventually) be more specific.
Deleted, created a specific filter named "Aladdin Knowledge Systems HASP v.006" and ran the VM, then uploaded Vbox.log

Sorry for the delayed answer again!!
