guest vista with dual boot

Hi,

I use VirtualBox since several months and I found this is a great product.
Here is my problem :

I run OpenSuse 10.3 as system host with VirtualBox 1.6.
I want to run Vista as a guest system. Vista is already installed on my PC (dual boot).
When booting vista I have a screen errors that tells that some drivers are not found.

I see that the solution for this problem is using "mergeide.reg" but this file works for
XP and W2k (Can I use it for vista ?).

The solution could be to reinstall a new Vista system as a system guest, but I don't
have the CDROM installation since it is a laptop (with only a recovery hard drive...).

Does someone have a solution for this problem ?
Does someone run the mergeide.reg file without any problem on Vista ?
