Win XP Video issue

Post by m0dhippy »

I have a Sony VGN-SZ330p Laptop. Ubuntu is my primary OS and everything works flawlessly. I installed the latest version of virtualbox flawlessly, and everything works, however I'm somewhat annoyed by the screen resolution. It seems to support everything except for my screen resolution which happens to be 1280x800 wide screen.

I tried using a tool called "unnamed devices" to detect the video driver, and it just said it's undetected. I know my Sony uses a Nvidia driver so I tried downloading that driver directly from the Sony Website & from the Nvidia site both of which didn't work. Any help here would be appreciated thanks.

Incase it's of any significance, I am running Windows XP Pro 32bit, I have everything else working great aside from this minor display driver issue.

Disregard this post, I got the issue fixed by simply installing the guest additions.

This release is extremely awesome. Keep up the amazing work!
