[sovled] Can not get past welcome screen to the login screen

I restored a backup since I didn't find a solution for my issue:

Hello,
I'm running win8 64bit as guest for some months. Now after booting I can not get past the welcome screen.
As shown in the screenshot I can pull up the welcome-screen so I can see the login-screen. But as soon as I release the mousebutton the welcome screen slides back down.
I can not access the login screen to enter my password.

The guest recognizes my keyboard input, but doesn't slide the welcome screen away when I press a key.
What can I do to log in again?

Host ist gentoo 64bit 16GB ram, Guest is win8 64bit with 2GB ram.

you need to attach the vbox.log file as well. compressed.

I suspect your guest has become corrupted in some way. I don't think it has anything to do with VirtualBox but we'll see.

is related. You might want to wait for someone who knows Windows 8.1 to be sure. I would say you may have to reinstall the guest but wait for a second opinion.

A log from july shows those lines aswell, the os was booting fine back then.

Well I would wait to see what someone else has to say but, how do you still have a vbox.log from July? VirtualBox creates a new log whenever you launch a guest and it only keeps the last four.

You are right, it was the date Virtualbox was built.

Thanks, most problems seem to be that mouse/keyboard input doesn't work.
For me mouse and keyboard input are working. Maybe this isn't a virtualbox problem at all.
I don't know.
