voices in play back sound like mickey mouse

starting yesterday, my windows xp home pc started playing back music and voice with really fast sounding voices..the music sounds sort of okay, but in an echo chamber effect, and the voices are all mickey mouse high pitched and fast..what the heck did I do? I have not downloaded anything or changed any settings, so I am confused. it was funny at first, but now its annoying..anyone know what I can do?

Sound in VMs is nice to have, nothing else.

Play sound on Host, that is the best solution.

doesn't matter where I play from,youtube, stored data..it still plays back the same way..I think my sound card is screwed, thankx anyway

Where ist the Problem? All that things works in Firefox on Linux Host. Forget Sound and Multimedia in a VM.
