After installing version 1.4 of Virtual Box and Guest add-ins Vista Guest networking still fails. I'm running Windows 2003 Server Host. When I try and install the network adapter and point it to the Guest Addition Iso the system (Guest only) hangs.
Vista Networking Solved
After some trial and error I finally solved my problem with the Vista Networking. I had to boot into Safe Mode with networking on the Vista Guest. I was then able to install the driver from the Guest Additions and it worked fine.
