Toontown? Win2K Guest, no DirectX Support

Post by quackking »

Hi, my Host is Feisty with 1GB, AMD64 X2. I've installed a Win2K guest with additions, everything seems to run fine. I've run Windows Update to the latest version of Win2K. I've successfully installed the flash player 9 in IE.

When I try to run Disney's ToonTown application, it downloads the flash installer, but fails to install, giving a message that it can't open a graphics window. It fails at statecode 115 as follows:

-------------------
STATECODE: 115
ERROR: spawnedProcess returned ErrorCode 3221225477 (0xC0000005)
Got panda error code: 7
Unable to open a graphics window. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed from your 3-D graphics card vendor. If you jave previously run Toontown successfully and are unable to run now, it may help to restart your computer.
Final Non-ErrorState: 115. Installer ErrorPnt: 33, Panda ErrorCode: 7
Couldnt find window 'Going to Toontown...' to min/maximize it, error=0
STATECODE: 115 -> 26 reps
-------------------
Installer is shutting down...
ERROR: spawnedProcess returned Errorcode 3221225477 (0xC0000005)

Any ideas?

I did search (on 'toontown') and this is the only hit! Is this a general problem for all DirectX apps?

[edited] Oh, I see - it is not in this forum, it is on the Using Virtualbox forum, using keyword 3D. Got it. Would this work if I have two graphics adapters?

Yes, in this way: Second Adapter in another PC, Windows native, Runs perfectly :)

There is no way! Start Windows or use WINE/Cedega.
