..And please attach a VM log file for a VM 3D-enabled session if you still have issues with 3D.
Sorry, issue with Win8 is still NOT resolved with 4.2 on my machine. Note that I'm using a VM which I created short after RTM of Win8 - I think it was with 4.1.18.
Disabling 3D acceleration still works as a workaround as before.
Environment: Win7-64 Enterprise, VB 4.2.
