Windows 7 guest on Ubuntu Lucid host: client freezes

My virtualbox client locks up randomly during operation. I cannot discern a rhyme or reason for why it is doing so, but the error log spews out the following message when my mouse enters the view port.

VBox.log.2:00:39:49.899 ERROR [COM]: aRC=VBOX_E_IPRT_ERROR (0x80bb0005) aIID={05044a52-7811-4f00-ae3a-0ab7ff707b10} aComponent={Mouse} aText={Could not send the mouse event to the virtual mouse (VERR_PDM_NO_QUEUE_ITEMS)}, preserve=false

This message repeats until my mouse leaves the screen. No reset, ctrl-alt combo, or anything will bring it back alive. I've looked over the logs and found nothing, but was wondering if anyone with some better trained eyes could possible take a look?

My Windows 7 virtual box client running on Ubuntu 10.10 is locking up, seemingly when there is some request to read/write large amounts of data from disk, like loading a large program like outlook, or browsing a large directory with explorer. The virtual machine completely locks up and cannot be rescued with a ctrl-alt combo or reset or anything. This may be related to the following issue on the same machine, but I am not sure because the logs are drastically different. Any insight is greatly appreciated!!!

I am still having a problem and the only thing I hear in this forum are crickets. I'm about to give up and switch back to vmware, which I was hoping I would not have to do. I have searched the forums back and forth and have found nothing that will help me with this issue. If there is something I can do, more information that I could provide, I would love to know.

I would like to do what I can to support the development of this software, but there does not appear to be much motivation from the maintainers. I blame Oracle.
