vrdp and serial port forwarding

Post by ck.one »

Hello,

did anyone succeed in using the serial port forwarding with a vrdp machine (win xp pro)?

I am running xp pro on a remote server (headless with vrdp) and connect to it from a windows xp pro client using the regular terminal server client. From within the vrdp-xp-pro, I need to access the serial port on the client.

I tried a few things but it does not work?

Does anyone know how to set it up? Or do you have any ideas how to test
whether the forwarding works (is there a way to see the port in the xp-vrdp)??

Thanks a lot,

Serial ports cannot be forwarded through VRDP, this works only with USB.
