I Know this is an old post but I am now getting the exact same issue.

I Bought a second hand Dell PowerEdge R710 a while ago and installed Ubuntu server on it.
For a project I need a windows vm. and so I tried to install Windows10 in Virtualbox (https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch08. ... e-modifyvm)
And after changing the APIC to enabled in the bios, changing the chipset to ICH9, Enabling IOAPIC, APIC, and APCI It still isn't working and I am still getting the 0xc0000225 error message....
I've been struggling with this for days :(
Has anyone got a similar problem or any suggestions?
Thanks already.

Yes, it's absolutely an old post (just over 8 years), with different (way different) VirtualBox at the time (2011-01-01, 03:57).

Please open a new thread (it's as easy as replying to one), because I'm locking this archaic one...
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
