Networking problem in Windows XP

I have installed Windows XP as a guest OS under Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop 10.1. The default networking configuration is NAT and I can't connect to the network with this config. Can anyone please provide a suggestion on if this is the configuration I should use or Host Interface with certain configuration options? You help would be appreciated.
