Error msg- Virtualbox Kernal drive not installed

Post by theWayner »

When trying to start XP I get this msg:

Virtualbox Kernal driver not installed. Reset up the kernal by executing
'/etc/init.d/vboxdv setup' as root

I am using Fedora 8 and it just completed some security upgrades and I rebooted. When I went to use XP I received the msg above.

Can someone provide specific instructions what what to do? I am new to VirtuaBox and do not want to screw up the program.

Thanks

Open a konsole
change to root
and scribe:
/etc/init.d/vboxdv setup

Did you install kernel-headers kernel-devel gcc make?

Otherwise you must install them.
Without them can you not use virtualbox.
