i installed the virtual machine in the first place to run this particular program that was written in 1996th and only can be used in windows 98 (or maybe 95 too). i've already decided the problems i had with setting up network and higher resolution in guest, however...
When trying to run this program in normal mode it swears about input/output error and fails to load, however everything is fine when loading up windows in safe mode.
I would use it in safe mode, but the problem is that safe mode has only resolution 640x480 and this program needs at least 800x600 to display all controllers and just work fine generally.
I know that the program runs ok in normal mode on "normal" PCs - saw it working - so it's sort of virtualisation connected problem. Does anyone have ideas what may be the cause?
