Hi,
after compiling an application which is saved in a Shared Folder with Borland C++-Builder, I get a BSOD (http://home.arcor.de/mathe.spiele/upload/bsod_vbox.png) in the moment when the application should be started. It happens every time and no matter with which of my applications I test it with. I also have other problems, like being unable to rename/remove a file.
As a work-around, I am currently using a network share through a host interface (which works), but I'd really prefer to use Share Folders for this (the host interface isn't always set up correctly, and I'd like to remove the samba share for the directory I want to access from within my VM)
Host:
Linux (Kubuntu 7.10)
Gigabyte 965P-DS3 with Core 2 Duo E6420
1 GiB RAM
I'm using VirtualBox 1.5.2 Personal Edition (downloaded from http://www.virtualbox.org/download/1.5. ... y_i386.deb)
Guest: Windows XP SP2
Kind regards,
Ralf

This is really the best workaround (together with samba) many of us also use.ralfjung wrote:As a work-around, I am currently using a network share through a host interface
Shared Folders are buggy. Don't try anymore and wait until it's fixed.
