WinXP Guest on 64bit Linux hangs during boot (at mup.sys)

WinXP Guest on 64bit Linux hangs during boot (at mup.sys)

I can boot My WindowsXP installation directly from hard disk but my WinXP vm on linux host with vmdk image hangs during boot even in safe mode. Hare is a snapshot of hanged vm. Can anybody help me.

You can't simply boot a physical installation within a virtualbox. There is complete different hardware on your PC and in the Virtual Machine. Look here for an idea of a dual boot:

Dual boot from full hard disk instead of booting from a partition is working, but it is too slow . even I have assigned 384 MB of Ram to my VM. Also some softwares may need to reinstalled due to necessity of renewal of license on new hardware (this is not a problem to me problem is that machine is slower than my expectation).
