i ran jkdefrag with option 5 to move all files to beginning of partition, ran sdelete -c to zero out everything and ran vboxmanage modifyvdi compact to squeeze the already compressed ntfs partition but my mft is in the middle of the drive and cant be moved with jkdefrag.
will the compact option recover the zeroed space between mft and my file block ?? or just the end of the disk after the mft ?? :?:
jkdefrag/sdelete/modifyvdi squeezing partition down to min??
From my experience it seems like it "recovers" any zeroed space (may be limited to fully zeroed file-system-blocks).
In all my cases the compacted image is just a little bit larger than the used disk space, even if i don't defrag at all
