shared folder issue with some MS apps - xp guest ubuntu host

I have all of my documents stored on Linux then I share the folder to Virtualbox. Everything works fine unless I try to read or write a Visio or Powerpoint file to the shared folder. Then Mickysoft gives me some useless error about a network problem.

Similarly, I cant read some of these files from a shared folder. If I copy them to the Mickysoft virtual machine (ie: "My Documents") they read and write just fine.

Anyone else experience this weirdness or am I in the twilight zone?

Anything I can do to fix it?

Wait for 1.5.2 (due out maybe next week). The issue with Powerpoint has already been fixed.
