I installed, and properly activated over the phone, a virtual WinXP on my laptop, but when I tried to use the WinXP image on another computer, the virtual Windows complained that the hardware had changed too much and that I have to reactivate it within 3 days.
Is it usually the case that a virtual Windows will notice the difference between two computers? Is there anyway I can "freeze" that image in time so that it doesn't know the 3 days has passed?
Or alternatively, can I find a pre-activated XP anywhere? Or even Win98 would work I think; I'm only trying to run a few kids games.
