Shared Folders Disconnecting in XP guest (on Linux host)

Post by bluedragons »

I am able to "net use s: \\vboxsvr\<sharename>" on my XP guest ONCE. It creates the mapped drive and I can browse its contents. But if I try to save something to it (say from Crystal Reports XI) I get the Windows message "An error occurred when reconnecting S: to \\vboxsvr\common. The local device name is already in use. This connection has not been restored."

I can tell the S: drive to unmap, but when I try to map it again, I get this same error.

Can anyone PLEASE help me find a workaround or solution. This is the only issue I have had with VirtualBox.

Thanks in advance.

Your problems will be gone in the next release. A few more weeks until it will be released.
