W98 : install crash at startup

Post by Draky »

Hello

Juste installed VBox on an Ubuntu Feisty.
I boot with an image of a bootdisk.
1st thing : it can't pass the "scsi driver check" just after the IDE check so I had to delete SCSI related lines in "config.sys".
After the boot, I choose "Boot with CD support" and then I run the W98 install program but it hangs juste at the beginning, telling me : Windows need memory or something like that. And the sentence is even not written completely !

Any idea ?
Any setting I forgot ?

Thanks a lot :)

Perhaps: after first boot from floppy, fdisk the new virtual harddrive; next, reboot and format the same. From here: reboot and setup from cdrom.....
