I was just now going through the procedures in this thread and running into mup.sys hanging... I don't quite understand the solution: I see that I have ./ServicePackFiles/i386/hal.dll
./$NtServicePackUninstall$/hal.dll
in my window directory, and they are different. So if the solution is to copy the one from servicePackFiles into system32, what's the point of cloning with Acronis and restoring to the VM (I'm not sure what you mean by this)?..
