XP (guest) will sometimes not boot on Vista (host)

I experience intermittent problems with my WinXP guest after installing the Virtual Toolbox Tools. During boot WinXP (guest) stops and can only be restart in save mode. The WinXP event viewer shows the following events (warning):
1.) An error was detected on device \Device\Hardisk0\D during a paging operation.
2.) TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts.
Then after restart WinXP is starting.
All WinXp updates are installed. ZoneAlarm 7.0 is running. Vitual Toolbox is installed.
