(SOLVED) Shared folder "can't find network path"

I run WinXP in virtualbox on Gentoo Linux. I have used a shared folder many times before only this time I keep getting "can't find network path"

. I made sure:

- I have the binary (non-oss) edition
- I have the guest additions iso installed
- I created the shared folder with vbox being shut down

In short; I am out options. Any help would be appreciated!

? I just tried it again but I keep getting the dreaded error 53.

Solved by completely removing the WinXP install (including hard disk) and reinstalling from scratch.
