Serial Ports on Win XP Guest ?

I am wanting to run Windows XP as a guest under Kubuntu Linux and use the
windows serial ports to connect to an external device. Not USB I am talking
about RS 232 ports COM 1 & COM 2.

If it is possible how do I procede ?

Also is there a Wish / Vote list looked at by developers of vbox ? Where ?
