I see many old posts on mouse wheel issues.... too many to read. Maybe I'll get lucky.
Has anyone found a way to get the mouse wheel working in an XP guest?

You can find old posts on most subjects. Please concentrate on problems that exist now. I.e. describe them, provide VM log as evidence.

Have you tried the Virtualbox documentation?
https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/UserM ... txorgsetup
https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04.html
or machine settings > User Interface > Input > Mouse Integration?

Re: mouse wheel on Windows XP
The answer was to install the old Intellipoint mouse driver from Microsoft.

For future readers - I very much doubt that this is correct.jimh wrote:The answer was to install the old Intellipoint mouse driver from Microsoft.
The VM mouse is a virtual generic mouse (PS/2 or USB depending on VM settings). It does not identify itself as an Intellimouse and so has zero use for an Intellimouse driver. What the VM might have had use for is a good restart.
