On both Ubuntu and Windows 11 hosts, the VM host of Windows 11 is super unstable. Keeps crashing out, freezing and generally unusuable after a minute or two. Turned off hyper v etc, made it 2 cores and still seems to be having issues. Can anyone help please?
Cant seem to post logs yet unfortunately as this is a new account

The forum is having trouble with posting things. Please use a file sharing website, with "everyone can read" permissions, and obfuscate the link with added spaces.

Re: 7.0.2 issues with Windows 11 guest
You have Hyper-v enabled, this is probably the cause of the instability.
If you want to try it with Hyper-v disabled (thoroughly recommended) then see: HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active).00:00:08.389971 HM: HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM: VT-x is not available
00:00:08.463443 NEM: info: Found optional import WinHvPlatform.dll!WHvQueryGpaRangeDirtyBitmap.
00:00:08.463459 NEM: info: Found optional import vid.dll!VidGetHvPartitionId.
00:00:08.463465 NEM: info: Found optional import vid.dll!VidGetPartitionProperty.
00:00:08.463522 NEM: WHvCapabilityCodeHypervisorPresent is TRUE, so this might work...
Re: 7.0.2 issues with Windows 11 guest
Will look at the instructions. Why does it also have the same issues on an Ubuntu host?

This could also be bugs in 7.0, which just came out of beta and still has bugs to find. An Ubuntu host log may also help. Please repost the Windows log too, for comparison, and please try the forum's Upload Attachment tab again.

Sans evidence, I don't know that it does. That would be a discussion for a different topic. Unfortunately the log you posted is no longer available, so we no longer have a basis for discussion here either.fredbhelp wrote:Will look at the instructions. Ubuntu log attached.
I'll get a new Windows log for you.Re: 7.0.2 issues with Windows 11 guest
Windows log attached.
Also, thanks for your help so far, I know the software is free and so support can be limited but the both of you from what I have seen are always on top of things in this forum!
Do you have recommendations of an older version of Virtualbox that might be more stable with my Windows 11 guest? Happy to use V7 in parallel and give feedback but also would be good to work on a more reliable version of Virtualbox in the meantime. Also, thanks for your help so far, I know the software is free and so support can be limited but the both of you from what I have seen are always on top of things in this forum!
Re: 7.0.2 issues with Windows 11 guest
Same issue, Archlinux host + Vbox 7.0.2 + windows 11 guest, if 3D enable or Virtual box guest additional tool installed, the guest OS will black screen or unresponsible.
I've tested it on a completely new install windows 11 guest, same issue.
So far, I have to turn off 3D and uninstall the guest additional tool to use my guest OS.
This issue seems bring in VBox 7.0 since it never occurred in VBox 6.0 for me.
Looking forward a fix for this, thank you.
