Hello,
I am running VirtualBox 6.1.36 r152435 (Qt5.6.2) with the latest Guest Additions on a Windows 11 hosts on a HP Notebook - 15-dw1740ng Notebook.
In the VirtualBox I am running a Windows 10 Guest, which should be updated to Windows 11, but I got the message, that the Windows 10 Guest does not meet the neccessary requirements for Windows 11. It states that the "secure start" is not supported and TPM 2.0 is not activated. More details can be found on the attached pdf-file. (I know, it's unfortunatelly in German..)
Of course, I have reviewed several posts here in this community and also online articles but no solution has led to success so far. Maybe I am too stupid. Therefore I am posting this in this forum and hope to get support from you.
Many thanks in advance for your efforts. Du you need any other information? If so, please let me know, where I can find those in the system.
Best regards
Markus

Re: Update Issues Win 10 -> Win 11 on Win 11 Host
Virtualbox 6.1 does not present compatible 'hardware' for Windows 11. (Note that the 'hardware' in the VM is not the same as the physical host PC hardware, thus the disconnect.) Secure Boot and TPM are not implemented in 6.1
Virtualbox 7.0 will present compatible 'hardware' for Windows 11 , including Secure Boot and TPM, when it is released (No timeline yet for the release date).
There are web-searchable hacks and tweaks available to install 11 on incompatible PCs. These hacks/tweaks are made on the 11 installation media or in the 11 installer environment, not in Virtualbox settings. These hacks/tweaks work in 6.1 also. Several users and forum gurus are running 11 in their Virtualbox 6.1 VMs using these adjustments.
If such web-searchable adjustments can enable 10 to upgrade to 11 on an incompatible PC, they ought to work to upgrade your 10 VM to 11.
I'd strongly recommend making a backup of the 10 VM (copy the VM folder & disk files while the 10 VM is fully shut down) in case the upgrade fails.
