Please provide a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

Most of us will not click offsite links, especially obscured ones. And more especially as it isn't necessary.

VirtualBox 6.1.34 has a problem with newer 5.x kernels on Linux hosts. Try installing the 6.1.35 test build, which apparantly contains a fix.

How "new" linux kernel?

Not sure if this is related, but I am finding that since updating my host kernel to 5.10.0-16 (or thereabouts, still investigating) that video seems to be unstable in VMs.

I'm trying an older kernel on host to see if this corrects the problem.
Edit:  I have additional information that might be useful, if I may post it in this thread.

For example, Linux kernels 5.18, 5.17.12+ (Fedora 35, 36), 5.15.44+ (Arch Linux 5.15.45-1-lts), 5.10.119+ (Debian Bullseye 5.10.0-15).

Then I will start a new thread. (But I do believe it may be related.)

The new 6.1.36 release is out yesterday, so be sure to test that before posting. The 6.1.35 test build mentioned above is no longer required.
