Software on windows have some visibility issues

Post by leoheck »

Hey guys,

I am facing a wierd problem. One app is not working fine on Windows Guest (in this case, Windows 11)
The Host OS is the Usbuntu 22.04

And the Virtualbox version I have is

Code: Select all

VirtualBox Graphical User Interface Version 6.1.32_Ubuntu r149290
This software, Cadence Allegro Viewer, shows the canvas cut in almost half. The other part is always dark/black. So, the drawing area is pretty unusable since at least half of the window is missing.

This is the software I am using, specifically, after registering, if someone is interested to check the issue, it is free online, Forum is not allowing me to post the link, unfortunately.
Allegro/OrCAD/SIP/MCM FREE Physical Viewers 17.4 - 615MB

I am not sure if this is a bad config on my Virtualbox or what.

Did you guys already see something like that? Do you know something that I can try to fix this?

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip it, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
