Hello everyone,
I am using Oracle Virtual Box Version 6.1.34 r150636 (Qt5.6.2), on an HP ProBook 450 G8 machine with an 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz processor. The laptop is new, and comes in the BIOS with all virtualization options turned on.
I have a cloned virtual machine running Windows 8.1 64-bit.
The problem is that i can only run the machine with 1 CPU, if I select more than one cpu does not boot, it stays hanging.
With 1 CPU it starts but with the symbol of the turtle.
The Vt-x/AMD option also comes out in gray, with no option to enable (I don't know if this is only for AMD processors)
I have tried to install Vmware and the problem is the same, with 1 CPU boots, with more no. This makes me suspicious of my OS.
I attach the Vmware.log in case it helps (when booting with 1 CPU).
Any suggestions? Thank you
