I installed Photoshop on the windows 10 guest but inside the photoshop settings the graphics processor settings - detected graphics processor . There is nothing showing up.
I installed photoshop on my other desktop hardware(no virtualbox) straight on the desktop that has windows 10 and it shows up.

This is a correct assumption. The only video card the VM can use is the Virtualbox video card.vm_guy wrote:I'm assuming virtualbox cant access video cards?
3D acceleration can be enabled for the VM if the bundled Guest Additions are installed in the VM OS. Then video might be more capable.
If you enable 3D acceleration for a Windows 10 VM, disable Settings > Personalization > Colors > Transparency Effects in Windows 10.
unactivated Windows 10 has the same setting here:
Ease of Access > Display > Simplify and personalize Windows > Show transparency in Windows
