Failed to load R0 module

Post by DireZombie »

I'm having the exact same issues with VirtualBox, I'm running Windows 10 Home version 21H1 with a Ryzen 7 5800H and 16GB of RAM.

I'm unable to send URLS so I cannot send the VBbox log or VBoxHardening log files

VBox log

You do not post URLs - you attach the files using the Upload attachment tab in the posting window. Zip the log file if it is too big.

You have superfluous third party AV installed, specifically MalwareBytes. Try disabling it. See FAQ: Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues.

I disabled Malwarebytes but the issue remains.

I think the error in the vbox.log is the 6.1.28 on Windows 10 bug over Hyper-V. Roll back to 6.1.26 for now. https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds_6_1

The Windows Hypervisor-enforced Code Integrity (HVCI) feature rejects the VirtualBox component VMMR0.r0. A workaround is to disable HVCI aka Memory integrity as follows:

On your Windows host, go to Start > Settings > Update & security > Windows Security > Device security > Core isolation details, turn off Memory integrity and reboot the Windows host.
