Failed to open session for the virtual machine

Post by Holygamer »

Hi, I'm using Windows 7 64-bit SP1 with a Windows 7 64-bit SP1 guest. When I try to start my VM it fails to open and gives me this error: "Failed to open session for the virtual machine". I've already enabled something in the bios that said something like Enable Intel Virtualization.

CPU-z says the CPU supports VT-x
Intel Core i5 3570 (Ivy Bridge)
8 GB DDR3 RAM. I had plenty of RAM free to start the guest.
Asus M32AA motherboard.

Log is attached. Can anyone tell me what the problem is please. Thanks

Your hardening exit code is 1. See Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues, end of post 3 and post 4. Suspect any web-safe-browsing or security software, try complete uninstall of these as a test.

OK my PC had minimal software installed on it. The only security software was Kaspersky Anti-Virus which I've uninstalled now. But the VM still won't load. It gives this error: "The virtual machine 'FeralHosting UK VPN - Windows 7 64-Bit SP1' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1"

New Log attached.

Is there something else causing the problem?

Post 4 discussed something that both old and new log also show. Did you read and try what post 4 suggested?
