Hi
I'm running Virtual box Version 6.1.10 r138449 (Qt5.12.8) on a Linux Mint20.2 Cinnamon host.
I have a Windows 10 VM Guest and I am using the WIN 10 VM extensively to connect to remote machines with Anydesk (differnt OS's) , All working perfectly.
All works well and full internet is available etc.
The issue comes in when the internet dips on the Linux Host. Once that happens the Anydesk clients goes offline, At this point I can browse internet on any browser etc. Its just affecting Any Desk clinets that ar offline. Closing Anydesk and reopening does not resolve the issue
The moment I reboot the Win 10 Guest, then Anydesk Clients are online again.
Is there a solution for this?
Like Refresing the network in the VM?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated

You could try disconnecting and reconnecting the virtual Ethernet cable. Options for this are in the VM menu.

Are you using NAT, NAT Network, or Bridged for your VM?

A Linux host for Win VM for using Anydesk?
Does not make many sense. Why you don't run Anydesk direct on the host?

A Linux host is WAY more stable than a Win machine. I support a windows Accounting system, thus the need to a WIN client as a VM.towo2099 wrote:A Linux host for Win VM for using Anydesk?

Any desk in the VM - because its easier to copy and paste from the Anydesk client ( windows) to the Windows VM with Anydesk directly from the Win 10 VM,
I am already using shared folders to exchange a multitude of information between my Linux host and the Win10 VM.
However the solution above resolved my question..

Ah, ok, I had in mind a failure mode if you were using Bridged.Makarios wrote:I am Using NAT
Glad you have a solution with toggling the cable connection!
