Virtualbox is not starting for server 2019, how to fix that?

Post by Uday1kiran »

I launched a VM which used to work earlier on a different machine by copying it from that machine.

It is just a clean server 2109 machine, no other applications installed on it.

When, I launch, I got this error.

Logs are available and attached as zip file VBox.log.zip

Please suggest how to fix this error.

Using a circa 2000 template for a 2019 server edition of Windows will not work. But there's a bug in the 2019 template, so use the 2016 one.

Modern PCs need a reasonable value for graphics RAM. 128MB should do it.

And, you have Hyper-v enabled. Read HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active).
