Win10 pro host setting up win10pro on Vb

Post by max22941 »

Sys Intel 640G cpu, 12 Gb ram, 2 tb hdd, 500 gb SSD (running os). Installed VB, Downloaded Win10pro ISO 64bit.

Vb starts to install Win10, after about 10-15 min win10 install can't seem to get past Region selection.

I had installed Hyper V but removed from system and rebooted.

I think I saw a reference in another query that 64 bit OS may be the issue I am experiencing.

Any Help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Please right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log.

Search the far left tab's log for this text:

Attempting fall back to NEM

If you find it, Hyper-V is still enabled and needs to be disabled. See HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active).

If you don't find that text, save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

No fallback in log, but see a reference to Hyper V. Log-zip attached.

Thank you

Just rechecked my Win10 Features and Hypervisor V is not shown as enabled. Before the issue began I had removed Hypervisor V and rebooted the systems.
Will cold reboot again and report if issue remains.

Thank you

Followed Tutorial info and registry entries for HyperV/Platform show no Values. Bios Enables Vituralization. I can't see where win10 is inserting HyperV but the log in each instance show the Attempt and fail. Seems like I had same issue with Win7 on this pc.

Unless you have another suggestion ??? BTW BCDedit was rejected but the alternative Hyper V launch stop was accepted..
